We embrace a policy that prioritises treating each one of our family members (children, parents, and staff) with kindness, compassion, and respect. This ensures that our students matriculate as well-rounded individuals who are well-prepared to live up to their full potential and contribute positively to society. We hope to mould individuals who will not only make a difference in our country but in the African continent and world!
We are a proud Catholic school, and Catholic traditions are followed throughout our campuses. Masses are held regularly, and we come together as a family every morning for devotions while prayers are said in class. Our school’s ethos helps us to create pride and build true school spirit. It urges us all to become the best we can be and teaches our students how to behave in victory and defeat.
Shaping Our
Future Leaders
We pride ourselves on creating a sense of family in our Senior School and becoming a “home away from home”. This is achieved through the intrinsic sense of warmth and care everyone is exposed to when meandering down our walkways.
By creating an environment where individuals feel truly comfortable, we hope to support our students in reaching their full potential at our high school, based in Parklands, Table View. We believe that each individual’s dignity is precious and must be protected at all times. Our students are loved unconditionally, and mistakes are never held against them. While our students are well-disciplined, we ensure that they have the freedom to grow in a nurturing environment.
This is why we have built our disciplinary system on the principles of restorative justice. We believe that students should be learning to take responsibility for their actions and understand the effect of their behaviour. As a result, offending students and victims are guided in a pastoral environment to restore their relationships and learn from their experiences – rather than simply be punished for them.
More about
Christian Brothers’ School
As a member of a global Edmund Rice Network, we have the unique opportunity to connect with CBC schools around the globe. We have recently participated in the “Connecting Classrooms” initiative, whereby our students partnered with CBC students in Australia, Ireland, Uruguay, and England to develop initiatives that focus on achieving Sustainable Development Goals.
Additionally, the mission of the Catholic church and the Constitution is brought into all parts of our school to encourage our pupils to help those less fortunate in our community. This is done by organising charity drives throughout the year.

The GET Phase
Grade 7 to Grade 9
The first year of school for our senior students starts with an informative and fun Orientation Day. Here, students get to know their teachers, their new campus, the code of conduct, academic expectations, and various sports and cultural activities. In addition, school camps happen early in the first term and serve as a way to establish group identity and build confidence.

Our Extra-murals
Various sports and culture extra-murals are offered to our senior students in the afternoons once the school day has ended. Our children are motivated and competitive, and are encouraged to participate in summer and winter extra murals. During each season, we successfully participate in various leagues and festivals held at other Table View high schools.
To enhance the learning experience, our students participate in at least one curriculum enrichment activity per term. It is compulsory for all students to do at least one sport and one cultural activity per term. Senior students are strongly encouraged to participate in sports and cultural activities.
