  Guidelines for Parents – Tests & Retests

1. The Test Series runs on a Monday and Friday – other lessons to be shortened.
2. The test period is one hour long and will usually cover a substantial amount of work.
3. Students absent from a test must have a DOCTOR”S CERTIFICATE in order to write the retest – if not, he / she will get zero.
4. The retest system will run on Mondays and Tuesdays and will work as follows: a) If your child is absent and misses the test on a Monday, he / she can write it on Tuesday afternoon, provided the doctor’s certificate is handed to Mr Booysen that day. The retest takes priority over sport practices and matches. b) If a child is absent on a Friday, he / she can write the test on Monday afternoon – also only if a doctor’s certificate is handed to Mr Booysen.
5. We encourage students to come to school to write their test and then go home if they are not feeling well, but are not ill enough to go to the doctor.
