Senior School
Mark Twain said: “Thousands of geniuses live and die undiscovered – either by
themselves or by others”
At CBC our aim is to encourage and assist all pupils to
discover and develop their talents in all fields, academically, physically,
culturally, socially and a spiritual awareness. We maintain a high academic
standard. Our pupils submit assignments and projects that are indicators of how
seriously they view their work. We have expanded our extra-mural programme and
despite being a small school the teams have gone from strength to strength. It
is not only about winning but participation and team spirit. Pupils are
sensitized to various causes and celebrations both religiously and secularly.
The students come from a range of backgrounds but despite the differences we are
slowly building up an awareness of others.
The senior school section of CBC St John’s Parklands can accommodate 300
students in its own attractive, modern buildings on the CBC campus. The learning
environment is disciplined, wholesome and encouraging. Our teacher corps is
chosen as much for their compassion and capacity for empathy as for their
academic and professional qualifications. We value holistic education, and
present multiple opportunities for our students to grow and enrich themselves
physically, spiritually, culturally and intellectually. Our students follow an
academic WCED based curriculum, and emerge as confident, rounded human beings
who are imbued with a passion for life-long learning and well suited to the
unique demands of the 21st century globalised economy.
