We are enormously proud of our 2009 matriculants and congratulate them on their
excellent results, the culmination of their journey in the National Senior
Certificate.
This group has been with us since they were in short pants in Grade 6. With the
help of their dedicated and talented teachers, they have achieved a superb set
of results. I take this opportunity to thank the teachers of CBC St John’s for
their unflagging commitment to their students. They have ensured that their
students were as prepared as possible for these examinations, sacrificing many
hours of their own time for extra lessons and exercises.
The recording of the results is as follows:
• There are no aggregates.
• A matric WITH DISTINCTION is achieved if a candidate achieves 4 A’s.
• University Entrance (formally Matriculation Exemption)is now called ‘Admission
to Higher Education – PASS BACHELORS’ .
• Admission to various diploma courses is called ‘Admission to Higher Education
– PASS DIPLOMA’ .
